INNOVATION NETWORK
The Technology Park of Asturias has close ties with the University of Oviedo and with regional technology and research centres.
The University of Oviedo, its research institutions and departments play an important role in research and development projects carried out in Asturias. The university was founded in 1608. Today it has approximately 30,000 students and offers a good selection of degrees covering a range of fields.
The new Centre for Nano-materials and Nano-technology Research (CINN), the Technology Centre for Wood, the Experimental Station for Natural Resources and Biodiversity of the Cantabrian coast and the Milk and Derivatives Competence Centre will shortly join this network.
